The rate for the 2024 Summer Season is $1100 per week plus applicable taxes

This home is a Friday changeover  and books for a minimum of one week during the summer months

No linens provided, please bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels and dishcloths

In the shoulder season shorter rentals (minimum 3 days stay) are considered. The shoulder season runs from May 1 to mid-June and after the September long weekend to the end of September. A cleaning fee of $100 will be added to any rental less than one week. Shoulder season rate is 25% off the summer rate and is prorated for the length of stay.

This two bedroom cabin has a maximum number of four guests with an open plan design. There is a brand new outhouse  beside the home, one indoor washroom (with a seat and pail), and a outdoor shower.

Enjoy an authentic Hornby experience in this rustic but charming cabin located just a few minutes’ walk from Grassy Point. 

Mossy Rock Cabin is most suitable for couples and young families looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Hornby’s natural environment, while living lightly on the land. 

The cabin is open plan with distinct cooking/eating, living and sleeping areas. In the living area, floor to ceiling windows look out onto the part grassy, part treed half-acre lot. There is a bunk bed in the sleeping area (double below, single above) and, in the living area, the sofa converts into a double bed. 

The kitchen facilities are simple and include: a full-size sink; table and chairs for four; a small fridge; coffee maker; two convection hot plates; a toaster oven; a kettle; and a toaster. Pots and pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, glassware and cutlery are also provided. 

The cabin has electricity and hot and cold running water. The water is from a cistern and rain water catchment system and is not suitable for drinking. You will be supplied with a five gallon container of drinking water (which can be refilled for a reasonable price at the Co-op).

There is a small indoor washroom equipped with a washbasin and a outhouse toilet.   There is an outdoor shower (with hot water). 

This sweet, simple cabin also comes with:

Please note there is:

• No Wi-Fi

• No telephone

• No TV

• No washer / dryer 

• No linens – please bring your own sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, towels, tea towels and dishcloths

• No smoking in the cabin or outside on the property (please)

Applicable taxes are not included in the price and will be added at time of booking.
